I was really struggling with finding a name, I got a hosting website that you can check if a domain is taken or not to see what is available or not. I left my initial plan of having a word for fashion and technology and started to focus on finding words that express link, bridge, connect. I asked help for my classmates several times and they came up with loads of different names like "smartsilk" "smartfiber" and I came up with "point of symmetry" which is "A special center point for certain kinds of symmetric figures or graphs". I was really sure about my decision to pick this name, but after some thinking and talk with my tutor, I've decided to not use it.
Then I came up with "cyberstyle", but that sounded like a teenager blog.So no. Until my tutor suggested me "smart stitch". I really liked this name, it was simple - even though it used 2 words and it was something I wasn't planning - and I could do a logo with both names (because they both have 5 letters). But my happiness was short because I soon found out it was already taken, so no, again.
I, then had to use my desperate measure and create a new word. But instead of going bunkers and picking a nonsense word, I decided to use an anagram with the words "fashion" and "technology". Several different combinations appeared "fichest", "hiontech" or "hiontec", "ftied" and I even tried to use it for "common ground" and created "commgrud". But after showing my colleagues, they found "commgrud" a bit too aggressive and that it rhymes with "grudge". So no, once again.
After that I started to make a list of all variations of names for fashion and technology again. maybe gain a different perspective. Also, I started using Thesaurus to look for synonymous and see a word that I could use.
What's next? I'll continuing researching words and look into elements in fashion and technology that connect things. See if there is anything that is similar.
